Home sale prices up 30 percent in Ulster County

KINGSTON – The average selling price of a single-family home in Ulster County rose in May by 30 percent above the same month last year, the Ulster County Board of Realtors reported.

Prices rose from an average of $393,500 in May 2021 to $511,262, a continued sign of a hot real estate market.

Homes were on the market for just over 58 days this May, compared to 74 days last year, a decrease of over 21 percent.

Available listings declined by 34 percent, from 311 in May 2021 to 205 this year.

In the first five months of the year, the number of homes sold fell by 23 percent, from 781 to 597.

The average selling price rose by 14 percent, from $404,174 to $460,692.
