GOSHEN – A 61-year-old Middletown woman has been convicted following a jury trial in Middletown City Court of all charges against her including criminal contempt and criminal trespass.

Yon Renee Woodson Renner faces up to two years in the Orange County Jail when sentenced in July.

Renner was arrested after she tried to gain entrance into her estranged husband’s home in the Town of Mount Hope without permission or authority.

She used a locksmith to pick the lock on the front door and entered the house.

Her actions violated an order of protection issued by Orange County Family Court, which directed her to stay away from her estranged husband and his home.

After she was arrested in 2019, the case was transferred to Middletown City Court where she persistently and willfully failed to appear in court, even after having posted bail in certain instances.

Renner was eventually returned to the jurisdiction and remanded into custody until her trial and conviction on Tuesday, June 14.

Mount Hope Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office assisted in returning her to face the charges.
