Connecticut man busted for burglary and sex assault in Beekman

BEEKMAN – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) has arrested a 32-year-old Danbury, Connecticut resident after an investigation into a burglary and sexual assault that occurred in Beekman.

Wilson Oliveros-Romeros has been charged with the felonies of predatory sexual assault, rape, and burglary, along with a misdemeanor charge of menacing.  After being arraigned in the Union Vale Justice Court, he was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.

DCSO Captain John Watterson said that deputies responded to a residence in Beekman on May 21st for a reported home invasion and assault.  DCSO detectives investigated the incident for a week and arrested Oliveros-Ramos on May 27, 2022.

Watterson said that the investigation determined that “Mr. Oliveros-Romeros is accused of illegally entering the victim’s home with a weapon and sexually assaulting them. Mr. Oliveros-Romeros and the victim are known to each other and the attack was not a random act.”
