LAGRANGE – An accident involving a car and a motorcycle carrying two people at the intersection of Overlook Road and Keith Drive in Lagrange is believed to have claimed two lives.
The accident was reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening.
Initial reports indicated that the two riders on the motorcycle were unconscious and a passerby had initiated CPR on one of the victims.
At approximately 7:39 p.m., the LaGrange Fire Department scene commander reported to Dutchess County 911 that the accident resulted in two fatalities at the scene. Police were requested and the roads were closed to traffic.
Surrounding fire departments including Pleasant Valley and Union Vale were requested to relocate fire apparatus and manpower to the LaGrange fire stations to provide coverage.
