MID-HUDSON – Firefighters across the region spend the weekend fighting brush fires.
In one instance, some three acres burned in the Town of Woodbury resulting in Route 6 being closed to all traffic from the traffic circle to Route 293.
Several fire departments battled that fire Sunday afternoon.
Among other brush fires reported was one on Stickles Terrace in the Town of Ulster where a detached garage and brush fire were reported.
