Valatie man arrested for sexual abuse of young child

VALATIE – Police have arrested a 32-year-old Valatie man on a felony charge of criminal sexual act.

Following a law enforcement tip, investigators from the  State Police at Livingston and the Columbia County Child Advocacy  Center determined that Ruben Martinez Cruz allegedly assaulted a victim under the age of 11.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or bond.
