BOICEVILLE – The Onteora Central School District has appointed Victoria McLaren as superintendent of school, a role she previously held before she left to assume the job as school business administrator at the Highland Central School District.
She will assume her new position on June 6 following appointment by the board of education on April 20.
Following a national and state search, there were 11 applicants, said Onteora School Board President Kevin Salem.
Three finalists were interviewed by the board.
“The process of selecting a superintendent is one that requires a lot of care,” said Salem.
“Onteora is an amazing school district and school community,” said McLaren. “I have tremendous respect and affection for this district, and I am excited to have the opportunity to move forward and support the students, faculty, staff, administration and board of education.”
