Poughkeepsie man arrested for selling buprenorphine

POUGHKEEPSIE – A 37-year-old Poughkeepsie man was arrested on April Fool’s Day for felony drug sales.  The investigation was conducted by the New York State Police and the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.

Michael Knapp was charged with two felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance for illegally possessing and selling buprenorphine and naloxone in the city of Poughkeepsie.

Knapp had been remanded to the Dutchess County Jail following an unrelated town of Poughkeepsie Police Department arrest.  He was turned over to the State Police for processing and returned to the Dutchess Country Jail pending future court dates.
