Firefighters battle Columbia County blaze

NEW LEBANON – Several Columbia County fire departments helped fight a structure fire at 563 Route 34 in New Lebanon.

The blaze was called in minutes before 7 a.m. and firefighters were on the scene until 1:30 p.m.

Assisting Lebanon Valley Fire Department and Chatham Rescue were firefighters from Canaan, East Chatham, Red Rock, Tsatsawassa, Austerlitz, Niverville, North Chatham and Tri Village.

State Police and Columbia County fire coordinators assisted at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
