Town of Fishkill has a dedicated YouTube channel.
FISHKILL – Earlier this month the town announced the broadcast and streaming of town meetings and events broadcast on the town website and local public access television will be supplemented by a dedicated YouTube channel.

By uploading videos to YouTube within 24 hours of meetings, the town is able to utilize HQ video and audio output and YouTube’s integrated Closed Caption feature, which automatically offers subtitles in more than 100 languages.
Councilman Istvan launched the channel for the benefit of the residents.  “Making Town meetings and events accessible to everyone is a high priority for us, and the public,” Councilman Istvan said.
Supervisor Albra stated that “this furthers his commitment to open government and proves that the Town of Fishkill is the most open government in New York State.”  There are 3,173 counties, cities, towns, villages, school districts, and fire districts in the state.  Albra was asked to produce a list of the rankings showing Fishkill at the top.
Albra responded to the request this week and failed to provide proof of his claim.  Instead, Albra’s office responded, saying “The Town Supervisor stands by his statement and will continue to be relentless in his commitment to maintaining the most open government in New York State.”
