West Point cadets on Florida spring break OD on fentanyl

WILTON MANORS, FL – Six men on spring break from college in Wilton Manors, Florida overdosed on fentanyl on Thursday night. Five were West Point cadets including a football player.

Four cadets were taken to the hospital; one was not, according to a West Point spokeswoman.

Four of the men were found in cardiac arrest outside a house rented for vacation and the other two reportedly became sick when they tried to administer CPR and were exposed to the drug, Fort Lauderdale Fire Chief Steve Gollan told local media.

One person was said to have been arrested following the overdose incident.
