Woman arrested twice for DWI in one week

LIBERTY – A 44-year-old Liberty woman arrested twice in one week for driving while intoxicated was released both times on an appearance ticket in accordance with the state’s bail reform law.

Village of Liberty Police first arrested Melissa Tschersch on February 20 for driving erratically in the area of Lake Street. It was determined that she was driving while under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

She was released on an appearance ticket to Liberty Town Court.

On February 24, police arrested her a second time in the same area.

Sher was driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and released again on a court appearance ticket.
