POUGHKEEPSIE – Mayor Rob Rolison has announced that $140,000 is being made available to community organizations through the city’s Youth Activities & Opportunities Grant program.

The city created this program in 2018, and the funds enable local nonprofits to support clubs and leagues, the arts, job-skills programs, and other initiatives.

“As we see COVID case numbers come down and look forward to warmer weather, we believe this highly successful grant program will be a great benefit to youth, families, and the organizations that serve them,” said Mayor Rolison.

Numerous organizations have benefited from the youth grant initiative, ranging from sports leagues to art programs.

Applicants can contact the Office of Social Development at (845) 451-4046 for further information or to discuss program eligibility.

Applications will be accepted through April 1, 2022. The application form and guidelines can be found at https://www.cityofpoughkeepsie.com/232/Youth-Activities-Opportunities-Grant
