NEWBURGH – A new coalition led by the Orange County Chamber of Commerce will be working with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to promote passenger service at New York Stewart International Airport.

The group, headed by Heather Bell, president of the chamber, will seek to raise the public’s familiarity of what the airport has to offer the traveling public.

“To bring together the Hudson Valley businesses, tourism stakeholders, to build awareness of Stewart International Airport, identifying the community support channels for the new and current air service and expand their air travel options at Stewart through active assessment of the ongoing needs of the region,” she said.

The new coalition will include Maureen Halahan, president of the Orange County Partnership, and Amanda Dana, director of the Orange County Tourism Office.
