ALBANY – Another 9,071 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the region on Saturday.
The State Health Department also reported that 23 people died from the virus – one each in Columbia, Greene, and Orange counties; two each in Delaware, Putnam, Rockland, and Sullivan; and 12 in Westchester.
Counties and municipalities are attempting to get a handle on the spread by distributing home test kits and masks when available.
