FISHKILL – The Town of Fishkill and Toll Brothers have come to agreement where the town will recover over $300,000 in water and sewer bills on its Merritt Boulevard develop.
In addition, $50,000 will be placed in the sewer district for its infrastructure.
The settlement totals $352,613 to be paid by the developer to the town in consideration of invoices received from the town.
Town Supervisor Ozzy Albra, who negotiated the payment deal, is working with the Dutchess County Health Department about resolving issues in a wellfield near Route 9, to solve them at no cost to the taxpayers. That water source serves the same Toll Brothers community.
Albra is working with the county to appropriate federal stimulus money to remediate water district concerns throughout the town.
