NEWBURGH – A standoff at a residence on Van Ness Street in the City of Newburgh at around 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning left one person suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound, Police Chief Anthony Geraci told Mid-Hudson News.
The suspect kept police at bay for some two hours before the person was taken into custody.
City police had blocked off all area streets while tactical officers took shelter behind squad cars.
Details of the incident have yet to be sorted out.
