NEWBURGH – A 28-year-old Newburgh man was shot at least once in the arm while in a vehicle that was struck by several rounds in the area of 45 South Lander Street in Newburgh.
The city’s Shot Spotter alert system notified the police of seven gunshots at around 9:41 p.m. on January 1.
The victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.
City Police are incident along with the Orange County Sheriff’s and District Attorney ‘s offices.
Police are looking for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time to call them at 845-569-7509. Callers can remain anonymous.
