MID-HUDSON – New Year’s Eve took on a different look for many as couples who would go out to dinner on a “normal” December 31, opted to celebrate a home because of COVID-19.

Some who did venture out of their homes chose to take in an early dinner at a smaller venue while out of an abundance of caution, some larger party spots cancelled party plans to protect staff and revelers.

Still there were those who had no choice but to be out on New Year’s Eve.

Police, EMS personnel, and hospital staff assumed their responsibilities to keep the rest of us safe.

Instead of going out to dinner with friends, one area couple decided to thank hospital workers by bringing them snacks to brighten up their overnight schedules.

Regardless of how spent your New Year’s Eve, Mid-Hudson News wished you good health and safety as we enter 2022.
