NEWBURGH – The new police administration in the City of Newburgh has promoted four officers to administrative positions.

Commissioner Jose Gomerez had advice for the three men and one woman as they received their new badges.

“As a supervisor, do not lead the individual; lead the team. If you lead the team, you will be successful at your role and you will be a better supervisor,” he said.

Promoted to the rank of lieutenant was Joseph Rutigliano and promoted to the rank of sergeant were Angelo Yononne, Jessica Brooks and Daniel D’Elicio.

The ceremony on Friday was held at City Hall.
