The Middletown Christmas Tree brought into the city last year

MIDDLETOWN – It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Middletown.

This year’s City of Middletown Christmas Tree is in place and ready to be decorated.

The 45 to 50-foot tree was donated by the Enlarged Middletown City School District from the lawn of Twin Towers Middle School at the corner of Wisner and Irwin Avenue.

Aspen Landscaping and Tree Service, the city’s DPW and Parks Department cut the tree down Saturday morning and the city police department escorted it aboard a Regional Trucking flatbed where it was brought to John F. Degnan Square.

Harry Rotolo & Sons, members of the IBEW Local 363, will decorate the tree with lights on Saturday, November 20.

The tree lighting parade and ceremony will take place on Friday, November 26.
