KINGSTON – On pleasant weekday outside, veterans, family and community members gathered in the Common Council Chambers of Kingston City Hall to honor those who have served during the annual Veteran’s Day commemoration.
“This is one day where our residents and our community can come together to thank our veterans,” said Mayor Steve Noble, who spoke during the service.
An honor guard sat in the chamber and rose to honor their fellow vets and community members as those seated watching offered their quiet reverence.
“And that’s what Veteran’s Day is really about. We have veterans all over Kingston and Ulster County,” said Noble,” and it’s really wonderful for the community to come out to say thank you for their service, their commitment to our country and their continued commitment to our community each and every day.”
