Ulster County opens warming center

KINGSTON – With temperatures starting to drop, Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan today announced the opening of the county warming center. Located at 2nda Iglesia La Mision Church in the City of Kingston, the Warming Center will open its doors starting at 7 p.m. this evening, Tuesday, November 2, and close Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. The center will maintain 7 p.m. opening and 9 a.m. closing evening hours from now until 9a.m. on Sunday, November 7.

“As temperatures drop, we are encouraging residents in need of shelter to come to the Ulster County Warming Center,” Ryan said. “I want to thank Catholic Charities for partnering with Ulster County again to provide this essential service and I want to ask anyone who may know of a resident in need of a warm place to be at night to help spread the word about the Ulster County Warming Center.”

The Ulster County Warming Center is operated by Catholic Charities and is located at the 2nda Iglesia La Mision Church, 80 Elmendorf Street, Kingston NY 12401. The Warming Center can be contacted directly by phone at 845-481-4029.
