CANAAN – A 58-year-old North Adams, Massachusetts woman was killed when the car in which she was a passenger ran off Route 295 in Canaan and struck a tree.
State Police identified the victim of the 2 a.m. crash on Friday, October 29 as Paula Buxbaum.
Police said the driver, Douglas Jones, 51, and a 17-year-old passenger were both treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing, but police said all current evidence suggests it was accidental.
