KINGSTON – A Kingston man was remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond after his arrest for possessing two firearms while being a convicted felon.
Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffrey Amato, 33, after they responded to a gas station in the Town of Ulster shortly after 12 a.m. on August 27.
He was charged with felony criminal possession of a firearm.
Town of Ulster Police and State Police assisted in the arrest.
