Metro-North adds more train service

NEW YORK – On Sunday, August 29, Metro-North Railroad is adding more train service to its Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines.  Off peak fares continue to be in effect until further notice.

The increase will bring full weekday service to 82 percent of the pre-pandemic schedule. It will also feature a return to full weekend service on all three lines.

Additionally, direct service between Grand Central Terminal and Wassaic, and between GCT and New Canaan resumes.

On the Hudson Line, there will be 25 additional trains, with 142 weekday trains.

On the Harlem Line, there will be 37 additional trains, with 189 weekday trains.

On the New Haven Line, there will be 40 additional trains, with 246 weekday trains.

Starting Monday, August 30, ferry service to meet peak AM and PM trains on the Hudson line between Haverstraw and Ossining, and Newburgh and Beacon resumes.
