ALBANY – The New York State Gaming Commission is considering applications from companies seeking to enter the “Mobile Sports Wagering” market that is slated to begin in February of 2022.  Soon-to-be former Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the New York Sports Betting bill into law in April of this year.

Resorts World, with several casinos including Resorts World Catskills in Monticello, has partnered with Ceasars Sportsbook, PointsBet, Rush Street Interactive, and WynnBET in filing an application to provide a mobile betting platform in New York.

Sports bettors in New York are optimistic that they will be able to place sports bets on their phones before next year’s NFL Super Bowl.
