WARWICK – Retired Orange County Executive and Warwick Town Supervisor Joe Rampe, his children, and grandchildren on Tuesday donated a new kayak launch at the Town of Warwick Wickham Woodlands Park in memory of Betty Rampe, Joe’s wife of 57 years.
Warwick Town Supervisor Mike Sweeton thanked the Rampe family for their generous donation which “greatly enhances the park by improving accessibility to the lake and providing a safe way to get in and out of a kayak.”
“Betty loved both Warwick and kayaking and the Rampe family is happy to give back to the Warwick community in Betty’s honor,” said Mr. Rampe.
