Saugerties woman charged with menacing with knife

SAUGERTIES – A 56-year-old Village of Saugerties woman has been charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal obstruction of breathing following a domestic incident on Friday, June 25.

Saugerties Police were called to 165 Ulster Avenue in the village where they charged Doris Reagan.

It is alleged that she had choked the victim during a domestic dispute and then grabbed a folding knife, raising it over her head and advancing toward the victim in an attempt to stab the individual.

Reagan was released on her own recognizance with a court-issued order of protection on behalf of the victim.
