Elderly driver strikes teenage pedestrian

NYACK – Orangetown Police are investigating an accident in which a car driven by a 77-year-old man struck a 13-year-old Nyack girl as she crossed South Highland Avenue in the village.

The incident occurred at around 11:09 a.m. on Thursday.  Shan Willson of Manhattan was driving a 1995 Toyota Tercel and hit the pedestrian.

The girl was transported to Montefiore Nyack Hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
