HUDSON VALLEY – The regional civil rights group Nobody Leaves Mid-Hudson has endorsed candidates for the 2021 primary elections in the region.

In Dutchess County, the group is backing Sarah Salem for re-election as Poughkeepsie Common Councilmember-at-large, Rachel Sanders for County Court judge, and Greg Johnston for Beacon City Court judge.

In Orange County, the group is backing Genesis Ramos for county legislator in the Sixth District, Anthony Grice for county clerk, and Giselle Martinez for Newburgh City Council in Ward One.

In Ulster County, the group endorsed Laura Nordstrom for Ward Seven in the Kingston Common Council.

“Our organization believes in a New York State and country that works for all of us, not just a greedy few,” said Executive Director Jonathan Bix. “Electing these candidates will move us closer to that vision of the future while elevating the voices and needs of everyday New Yorkers.”
