Accident ties up Newburgh-Beacon Bridge traffic

NEWBURGH – A late afternoon accident on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge on Friday tied up eastbound traffic.

The initial report said a fire department vehicle was involved in the crash.

It was not immediately known if there were any injuries.

EMS personnel were called to the scene along with police and firefighters.

The cause of the crash was under investigation. (
