MID-HUDSON – Dry conditions coupled with winds, have resulted in a number of brush fires today (Monday).
Firefighters from several departments s in Orange, Sullivan and Pike counties battled a brush fire off Pine Kill Road in Westbrookville.
Tanker trucks transported water to the scene to help the large fire from spreading any further.
Meanwhile, in the New Hackensack fire district, a three-alarm brush fire at 14 East Salem Road is being fed by strong winds with additional tanker trucks brought in to boost the water supply.
In Millbrook, a brush fire at 27 Shale Road is also calling in additional tanker trucks.
