SAUGERTIES – A 20-year-old Saugerties woman was arrested on Wednesday on charges of assault and endangering the welfare of a child stemming from an investigation into a domestic dispute that had occurred on March 24.
Saugerties Police determined that Desiree Bell allegedly physically assaulted the victim, resulting in the person sustained an injury to the jaw and three fractured ribs.
At the time of the dispute and assault, a two-year-old child was present in the room.
Bell was released on her own recognizance and a full stay-away order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim and child.
