STAATSBURG – Route 9 between north Cross Road near the Dinsmore Golf Course up to the four-lane section of the road in Rhinebeck is closed due to a brush fire. The closure occurred shortly after noon on Monday.
Roosevelt firefighters have responded to reports of a tree and wires down in the roadway with an associated brush fire.
As firefighters work to control the fire, additional first responders are diverting traffic away from the closed portion of the road.
