KINGSTON – The rash of gunfire in the City of Kingston, which resulted most recently Sunday in a homicide, has resulted in law enforcement from the city, Ulster County, and state banding together to fight the violent epidemic.
A number of Kingston city council members have written to Mayor Steven Noble asking him to outline in detail what he is going to do about the violence. The mayor, in turn, welcomed the opportunity to sit down with the council and discuss plans.
In the meantime, top law enforcement from the city, county, and state will speak out later today to announce their latest strategies to curb the violence that has seen several people wounded and others shot dead in Kingston in recent months.
