BEACON – A vehicle and traffic stop on Route 9D in the City of Beacon resulted in the arrests of two people on charges that they illegally possessed a loaded 9mm handgun and over 57 grams of marijuana.
Corey Latimer, Jr., 20, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon as well as misdemeanors of criminal possession of marijuana, obstructing governmental administration, and resisting arrest.
Also charged in the March 12 traffic stop was a 16-year-old, who was also arrested for felony gun possession and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Latimer was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, $25,000 secured bond or $75,000 unsecured bond.
The 16-year-old was released under supervision.
