Monsey man charged with going over 100-mph, DWI, on Palisades

CLARKSTOWN – A Monsey man was arrested and issued nine traffic tickets including going 101 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the Town of Orangetown.

At around 11:50 p.m. on March 14, state troopers observed a vehicle driven by Baruch Ungar, 26, speeding on the parkway.

He attempted to elude police by getting off the roadway but was stopped on Route 59 in the Town of Clarkstown.

It was determined he was impaired by alcohol and was charged with driving while intoxicated. He had a blood alcohol content of 0.13 percent.

Ungar was released on an appearance ticket returnable to court at a later date.
