DeMarco is a life-long resident of the Hudson Valley and is an active community member.

“During my first year as comptroller, I found myself reviewing her previous work in our files and I was impressed. We advertised and interviewed widely for the position and Alicia was by far the strongest candidate,” stated Gallagher. “She brings smarts, acuity, and determination, but in addition to all those qualities, she is deeply supportive of our mission as stewards of public resources.”

DeMarco holds an MBA and a BS in accounting from SUNY New Paltz.

She is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and New York State Government Finance Officers Association.
