Willowemoc overflows in Livingston Manor

HUDSON VALLEY – Santa had a rough time making his deliveries across the Hudson Valley at Catskills Christmas Eve has strong winds and heavy rains causes heavy flooding and brought down power lines, utility poles and uprooted trees.

Large trees were ripped out of the ground in the Town of Newburgh and Carmel, among other areas.

In Livingston Manor, the Little Willowemoc Creek overflowed its banks and in Accord, the Rondout overflowed.

Crews from Central Hudson, NYSEG and Orange and Rockland have been supported by mutual aid crews from out-of-state as they work to restore power to the thousands of customers knocked out by the storm.
