HUDSON VALLEY – State Police in Troop K east of the Hudson River issued 831 vehicle and traffic law violation tickets during the December 19 weekend.
From 5 p.m. Friday, December 18, through 3 a.m. Monday, December 21, state troopers in Troop K issued 332 tickets for speeding violations, 22 distracted driving violations, five child restraint violations, 16 move over violations, and removed 22 impaired motorists from the roadway.
Troop K includes Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Columbia counties.
Meanwhile, State Police in Troop F issued 732 vehicle and traffic law violation tickets during the December 18 weekend.
From 5 p.m. Friday, December 18, through 5 a.m. Monday, December 21, state troopers in Troop F issued tickets for 246 speeding violations, 14 distracted driving violations, 24 seatbelt violations, 13 child restraint violations, six move over violations, and removed 14 impaired motorists from the roadway.
State police also responded to 41 vehicle accidents.
Troop F includes Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster, and Greene counties.
