Newburgh man killed when driver pulls up to commercial building

NEWBURGH – A 50-year-old City of Newburgh man was killed Wednesday evening as he stood outside the Restaurant Depot building at 1281 Route 300 in the Town of Newburgh and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 55-year-old Newburgh City man.

Police said the incident, which occurred around 6 p.m., remains under investigation.

The names of the victim and driver were being withheld pending notification of relatives.
