Rhinebeck man arrested for child pornography

RHINEBECK – State Police have arrested a 64-year-old Rhinebeck man on a felony charge of possession of a sexual performance by a child.

Daniel Shanahan, a well-known cartoonist for The New Yorker was arrested at his Rhinebeck home on Wednesday, December 9 following an investigation by State Police at Rhinebeck and Rhinebeck Police.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Rhinebeck Village Court.
