MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Monticello man in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in the Town of Thompson.
Uwelle “Snoopy” Reynolds, 19 of Cottage Street was charged by sheriff’s detectives on Wednesday, December 2 with first-degree rape and the endangering the welfare of a minor.
It is alleged that Reynolds had forcible sex with a 15-year-old girl on Saturday, November 28. He was known to the victim.
Reynolds was arraigned before Town of Thompson Judge Sharon Jankiewicz and sent to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
Sheriff’s detectives were assisted in the investigation by the Monticello Police. The investigation is continuing.
