ALBANY – A 26-year-old Hurley man pled guilty Tuesday in Albany federal court to distributing, receiving, and possessing child pornography.

As part of the guilty plea, Nicholas Rockwell admitted that on October 11, 2019, he used social media messaging to send and receive several child pornography videos to another man over the internet. He also admitted when he was arrested on December 19, 2019 that he possessed on his iPhone and in two cloud storage accounts some 281 photos and 1,848 videos depicting exploitation of children.

When sentenced in April 2021, he faces from five to 20 years in prison on each count and post-release supervision for five years to life.

The case was investigated by the FBI and is being prosecuted by US Attorney Joshua Rosenthal.
