Woman struck by hit-and-run driver

KINGSTON – A woman who was getting out of her vehicle after parking in the area of 442 Hasbrouck Avenue in Kingston was struck by a hit-and-run driver.

The 38-year-old woman was transported to Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley in Kingston and transferred to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie where she was being treated for contusions over her body.

The hit-and-run vehicle in the 10:24 p.m. incident on October 29 was last seen crossing O’Reilly Street and continuing toward Grand Street.

The vehicle is described as a smaller sedan, possible a Ford Fusion or similar body type, dark in color. It should have damage on the passenger front, police said.

Persons with outdoor security cameras along Hasbrouck Avenue and Grand Street are asked to check them around the time of the incident.
