Vermont man arrested in Rockland County on felony warrant

RAMAPO – A 39-year-old Swanton, Vermont man was arrested by Ramapo Town Police for being a fugitive from justice on a felony warrant from Vermont Superior Court.

The charges include eluding law enforcement officer, false information to a law enforcement officer, aggravated unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and violation of conditions of release.

The man, who police did not identify in a Facebook post, was remanded to the Rockland County Jail.

He had additional warrants out of Rensselaer County Court for failure to appear and Albany County Court for possession of stolen property and tampering with physical evidence. He was also charged locally with criminal possession of stolen property and was issued an appearance ticket for that charge.
