HYDE PARK – The Hyde Park Police and New York State Troopers are investigating a Friday afternoon incident that sent a man to a Poughkeepsie hospital with a serious stab wound.
Police were summoned to an apartment at 98 East Market Street at 1:52 p.m. for a report of a man with a knife wound. Police and medics arrived on the scene moments after receiving the call. The man, described as being in his 40s, was triaged and rushed to the hospital.
Unconfirmed reports say that the man and woman were arguing in the parking lot and then entered an apartment while continuing to argue. A short time later, a witness said that the female exited the apartment yelling for someone to call 911 because the male had fallen on a knife and was bleeding.
Law enforcement officials processed the scene and interviewed witnesses to determine if a crime was committed.
