ELLENVILLE – Authorities have arrested a 25-year-old Ellenville man on a murder charge in connection with the death of a three-month-old baby.
Dillon Loupe was charged following an investigation by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center.
Ellenville Village Police responded to a medical emergency involving the infant on October 23. Its sex was not revealed by police.
The child was transported to Albany Medical Center because of its injuries and the family and child advocacy center was notified. The baby later died at the hospital.
During the investigation it was revealed that Loupe allegedly caused its death.
He was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail. The investigation is continuing with additional charges being considered.
