Red Hook woman charged with stealing from her employer

RHINEBECK – A 31-year-old Red Hook woman was arrested on Tuesday by State Police on charges of grand larceny and computer tampering, both as felonies.

Investigation determined that Samantha Manetta allegedly stole over $140,000 from her former employer while working as an assistant in the office overseeing payroll and bookkeeping.

It was also discovered that she allegedly caused damage to the company website after her employment was terminated.

Police did not reveal the name of the company.

Manetta was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Rhinebeck Town Court.
